Once inside, a good-sized kitchen/dining room sets the scene for creating and enjoying holiday feasts – or you could dine alfresco if the weather allows it. The lounge features a cosy wood burner and Smart TV for romantic evenings in. The double bedroom benefits from garden views for refreshing mornings, perhaps with breakfast in bed since it’s holiday time!

Your front door opens up to mile upon mile of stunning walks, cycle paths and bridleways across coastal and country landscapes – plan long or short routes and take a tasty picnic or enjoy a yummy pub lunch along the way. Head down to the enchanting Robin Hood's Bay (under 1 mile), a historic fishing village known for its atmospheric cobbled streets and delightful mix of cafes, pubs and shops, all set against the stunning coastline of the Heritage Coast. A perfect retreat to a favourite destination. Every amenity imaginable is in the cottage, outside patio with table and chairs for enjoying al fresco dining while appreciating the sounds and sights of the natural surrounds was more than we'd hoped. Beautifully cared for and catered accommodation. Top notch.

A really lovely place to stay for a break in the beautiful north Yorkshire coastal area. Excellent location and Halfpenny House has a light and relaxing vibe that really makes it feel like a home from home. The cottage was easy to find on the sat nav, took us straight to the door. The location was just right for us not to far from anywhere. Pub in walking distance. Lots of other walks to take the dogs and only a short drive Whitby, Robin Hood bay and Scarborough. Possibly to walk to Robin Hood bay but I have a bad leg so not so good for me.

This is a really lovely place to stay. It's very comfortable and well equipped and has lots of thoughtful touches. We enjoyed cups of coffee in the garden and walk from the cottage down to Robin Hood's Bay, along the coast or round the lanes. The cottage has very good natural light, a sense of space and open views - despite being tucked away down aRead more ginnel - and is thoroughly recommended. Hide

Having stayed in a dozen or so properties in and around Robin Hood's Bay, this was by far the best equipped kitchen which was modern and beautifully clean. Great location and really comfortable & cosy. Every effort also made to make our dog feel like she was on holiday too!.

An excellent cottage, felt very homely and cosy. Every detail thought of from kitchen equipment, cosy blankets, dog bowl and towels. Highly recommend. Also a convenient walking distance to Robin Hoods Bay by road or across countryside paths. Welcome basket was so generous too.
