This stone-built cottage is tucked away in the pretty village of Catterick. It’s a wonderful option for anyone who wants to explore all the tranquillity of rural Yorkshire. The village offers a traditional pub, a supermarket, a selection of takeaways and a lovely village green with a beck running through it. Situated on the outskirts of Richmond (5.5 miles), it's in the perfect location to explore the Norman castle, discover Easby Abbey ruins or browse the Saturday market. Stop off for tea and cake at the historic disused railway station where you will also find a two-screen cinema, a brewery, an artisan deli, and an ice cream parlour. Get the family together for a day out at Kiplin Hall and Gardens (6 miles). There, you can wander through the hall’s grand rooms, take a stroll around the lake, stop to smell the flowers in the walled gardens and treat yourself to something delicious in the tearoom.

This beautifully presented cottage set to the side of the village green offers cosy interiors and well-presented accommodation. Step inside this gorgeous traditional cottage and kick off your shoes in the welcoming hallway where there’s plenty of storage space for your outdoor gear. Make your way through to the lounge and sink into the sofa, soaking up the views over the garden. When it’s time to eat, head to the farmhouse-style kitchen to rustle up some dinner for your group; you’ll find everything you need to create a fabulous feast. Gather everyone around the table in the dining room and plan your next adventures over dinner before retreating to the lounge and lighting up the wood burner for a cosy night of film-watching on the Smart TV. A useful utility room just off the kitchen hides away the washing machine and tumble dryer and there's also a convenient downstairs WC. Upstairs, there are three spacious bedrooms: a king-size with an en-suite shower room and WC, a double with an en-suite shower and WC, and another double. There is also a family bathroom with a bath and WC – ideal for a long soak after a day’s walking.
Outside, you’ll find a beautifully planted traditional English garden with a furnished patio area and BBQ – perfect for al fresco dining and enjoying the long summer nights.

A beautiful, spacious cottage set in the lovely village of Catterick. It provided an ideal base for the two of us (lots of room for six) and our two dogs to explore the Yorkshire Dales and Moors. We will be back!

Very nice cottage in lovely village setting. We were greeted with a wonderful hamper with lots of goodies, owners had put a lot of thought into it. We had evrything we needed and the beds are lovely and comfy. Good walks locally for dogs and a very kind neighbour put our bins out for us. We will definitely visit Paddock cottage again.

Lovely stone cottage in a beautiful village green setting, well equipped and comfortable - the "goody basket" was a very welcome surprise! All necessary facilities close at hand in the village (fish and chips recommended). We enjoyed our holiday, the Dales and North York Moors.

Lovely, comfortable well equipped cottage. Nice to have your own parking spaces and excellent enclosed garden for dogs. Area is very quiet, lovely to have the paddock next door with the horses in. Very clean and lovely quality bed linen and towels plus plenty of bathrooms! Felt well rested after our holiday.
