Set on the outskirts of a large village on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, this charming wooden lodge is an excellent choice for lovers of the outdoors, while also having amenities and the North Yorkshire coast nearby. Up to six guests and two canine companions can spend quality time together in this luxury property with a hot tub, wood burner and tranquil surroundings boasting tall trees and rolling fields.

Climb three steps from the front decking and enter the lodge to find an elegant lobby space with a wood panelled ceiling and walls, a seating area and a winding wooden staircase. To your left is a cosy lounge/diner which is kept warm by the wood burner which sits in front of an exposed brick feature wall. The space is filled with rustic decor and offers a large L-shaped sofa in the lounge area and a wooden dining table with views of the countryside. The stylish and contemporary kitchen has sparkling white worktops and a breakfast bar on the kitchen island. Completing the ground floor is a utility room and family bathroom. Climb the stairs to reach a spacious landing area with a single sofa bed, a shower room plus three bedrooms – a king-size with two single sofa beds and a balcony; a double room; and a twin room. Outside you’ll find decking with outdoor seating, steps down to a hot tub, and a special area for your four-legged friend.

This is a beautiful spacious property with lovely facilities. The setting and surroundings are equally beautiful and peaceful. The bistro and spa nearby are handy. The food is wonderful!

Lovely lodge and very attentive staff when we encountered a difficulty/getting us a booking at the bistro. Ideal location for exploring the local area, loads of walks and eateries nearby. Only drawback was the smells from the dairy farm next door- fresh country air!
