This quirky and colourful dog-friendly property is an excellent base for a group of up to eight guests who are seeking a rural break in Yorkshire while being within easy reach of the historic city of York, an array of quaint countryside towns and scenic walking trails. Make memories with your loved ones in the shared spaces with high vaulted ceilings and boutique-style decor or unwind with some time alone in the hot tub and the sunny conservatory.

Step inside to find a rustic yet homely lounge with exposed brick walls, green nature-themed motifs throughout and a warming wood burner to keep you toasty while relaxing on the large corner sofa. An additional sofa sits beside the floor-to-ceiling windows and patio door. Continue around the corner to reach the connecting green and white dining area with a contemporary dining table. The sleek kitchen has patterned floor tiles, quartz worktops, a breakfast bar and tones of grey and blue throughout the decor. Along the hallway is a utility room plus a family bathroom. Additional seating can be found in the sunroom with sofas and a Smart TV. Completing the interior are four bedrooms – two king-size with patio doors to the garden, a bunk bedroom plus a master king-size with an en-suite. Outside you’ll find a large enclosed garden with a sheltered dining area and a hot tub covered by a gazebo.

During your stay on the outskirts of Cliffe, stroll into the centre of the village to find two pubs and a dog field (1 mile). Pack a picnic and head to the Skipwith Common National Nature Reserve (4.5 miles) or stroll along the River Ouse (1 mile). Delve into the history of York (14 miles) at the city’s museums and enjoy a self-guided sightseeing tour.

Gorgeous place with lovely decor. Garden was perfect for the dog and it goes much further back than the pics show. Facilities were fine, clean and tidy. Kitchen was fully equipped. Big place, perfect for a getaway with friends. Host was very friendly too.

We had a lovely stay in this house. It has everything you need for a relaxing break and the welcome pack was a nice touch. The only thing. I would say is the back garden isnt secure. Both of our dogs escaped into the houses each side of us. The road out front is quite busy which was a cause for concern if they were able to get out of the neighboursRead more garden. The neighbours to the right said this is an ongoing issue and that the owners two dogs get into their garden quite often.Quite disappointed Hide

A great house for a family holiday. Fab covered hot tub so we could even go in when it was raining. Lots of comfy seating. 30 minutes drive from lots of family friendly days out.

Amazing stay. Perfect property for a girlie getaway, in a beautiful location. Penny and her husband were great and welcomed. Hot tub was a lovely addition. Very decent price. Cant fault it.

This is a superb property for a wonderful relaxing holiday. The decor is fabulous with no expense spared . Everything you need is provided for perfect self catering. We spent lots of time in the cosy and warm conservatory with underfloor heating. The hot tub is the icing on the cake and towelling robes and slippers for all 8 of us a bonus too. The Read morelocation is lovely looking out onto the garden and countryside. The welcome pack and Prosecco was a thoughtful touch by the wonderful hosts. Thank you Hide
