This holiday retreat is nestled down a secluded private drive on the edge of the beautiful town of Pocklington, an enchanting destination situated 15 miles from the historic city of York. Join the York Wolds Way for a day of exploring the glorious countryside, cycle along the picturesque Pocklington Canal or discover one of 15 local circular walks with the dogs in tow. Delve into the weekly market full of goodies – from fresh flowers to handcrafted furniture. Are you feeling lucky? Place your bets at one of two racecourses, York or Beverley (20 miles).

Enter the stunning farmhouse through the boot room, perfect for hanging up coats after a long walk. Venture through into the spacious country-style kitchen/diner with a large island that includes a wine fridge, and doors leading to the enclosed patio. Bring the family together in the dining area with an evening meal on the handcrafted dining table or gather in one of the two lounges for a film night on the TV. Both rooms boast a wood burner, perfect for a cosy game night. A large utility room is also featured with a washing machine which leads to a separate WC. Head up the stairs to two delightful family bedrooms, both with a double bed and a single, and both boasting en-suite shower rooms. To the back of the house are a further two wonderful double bedrooms that both access the family bathroom. Lovingly crafted doors and furniture appear throughout the house which adds a very special touch.

Heading outside there is a small courtyard area off the kitchen, perfect for a morning coffee, and a large, enclosed garden to the rear, over looking the resident sheep. Enjoy cool al fresco drinks from the drink trolley in the bubbling hot tub or relax on the comfortable garden furniture while cooking up a storm in the family BBQ. Guests also have access to the communal garden area with covered and uncovered seating at the front of the property with far-reaching views over the fields with a fire pit and a pizza oven.

  • 2 dogs allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week
  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £500 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £50. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

Very comfortable cottage. Plenty of room in the property. Location was great for getting into York. Pocklington was a delightful town. Restaurants were very good. I would recommend this property and the friendly owners.

The farmhouse is really lovely, it's huge, large rooms very spacious. Very warm and cozy, clean. Very private. Fabulous family bathroom, pure luxury As we had 2 dogs the totally enclosed garden was brilliant Good walks round the farm tracks. Owners were very helpful if you needed them We really enjoyed our stay

Such a beautiful cottage in an amazing location, surrounded by sheep/hens/nature. It is perfectly equipped and extremely comfortable and clean. Garden was absolutely fabulous, hot tub such a treat, and the pizza oven was lovely. Owners are SO friendly and helpful.

Lovely house, set in the countryside. Bedrooms were a great size, two sitting rooms, lovely outside space with the hottub. The kitchen was well appointed with a big fridge, freezer, coffee machine, dishwasher (&tablets), and lots of pots and pans etc. The local village was about 15 mins walk away with nice little shops, cafes & restaurants.
