This authentic Yorkshire cottage in a quiet hamlet in the Heart of the Dales close to beautiful walks and Hawes’ pubs, shops, and eateries makes a cosy base for a group of friends or a family and their four-legged friends. The lounge and snug both have Smart TVs, ideal if you’re away with different age groups, and there’s an enclosed patio with a BBQ for fun evenings outdoors.
The pretty cottage is well equipped for guests’ needs with relaxed contemporary styling and furniture. Go into the lounge with a wood burner in the stone fireplace, a Smart TV, and comfortable seating. Head through to the kitchen/diner with a well-equipped, light kitchen area and an attractive dining area where you can enjoy sociable mealtimes. Kick back in the snug and watch the Smart TV on the sofas or read a good book – there’s also a separate WC and a utility room. Head upstairs to bed in the four stylish bedrooms, a super-king with a gorgeous en-suite shower room, a double, a twin zip-and-link bed that can be made up as a super-king-size, and a single. There’s also a bathroom with a bath and a separate shower. You can sit outside in the walled patio, fire up the BBQ and spend your evenings under the stars, and there’s storage for bikes in the outhouse.
Wander from Gayle to the centre of Hawes (0.5 miles) to visit the shops, galleries, pubs, eateries, and the Wensleydale Creamery, made famous by the Wallace and Gromit films. Get out and explore the beautiful Dales on foot or by bike on the many nearby footpaths and trails. There’s a lovely walk from Gayle to Aysgill Force waterfall (about 3 miles) through the Dales heading upstream alongside Gale Beck, which runs through the hamlet.
