Sitting in a gorgeous location on the hillside, this traditional cottage with stunning, contemporary interiors is perfect for four avid walkers and their canine companions. It has underfloor heating, two wood burners, and a gorgeous bathroom, and is close to the bustling Peaks village Hathersage, with lots of beautiful walks and great attractions on your doorstep.
The cottage blends smart, up-to-date styling and furniture with original features and character to create a cosy home from home. Step inside the welcoming lounge, with a sofa and chairs to relax on in front of the cosy wood burner while you watch the Smart TV. Across the stone-floored hall is the attractive kitchen/diner with a second wood burner and a rustic table and chairs for four. Head up the cottage-style stairs to the landing and discover two pretty bedrooms: a king-size room, and a twin, both with exposed beams, exposed brickwork and storage. There’s also a stunning bathroom on this floor with a separate bath and shower. Outside, you can sit at the front of the cottage overlooking the trees and meadows and enjoy al fresco drinks on the patio up the steps in the rear garden, where there’s also a south-facing lawn the pups can run around.
Wander or drive to Hathersage and spend the day exploring the outdoor shops, visiting cafes, and going out for drinks and dinner (2 miles). Based in the heart of the Peak District, there are scenic walks from the door, including Stanage Edge (1 mile), which is also a popular spot with rock climbers. Visit Chatsworth House (11 miles), gardens and farm, and leave your car at Edale and head into the peaks (10.5 miles). The pretty town of Bakewell is nearby too (11.5 miles), and beautiful Padley Gorge is just 5.5 miles away.
