The picture-postcard stone cottage is reached via a cute passageway off the main street and a flight of low, stone steps. Inside, the property is full of character, with beautiful original features, artwork adorning the walls, and a fabulous collection of coastal-themed accessories. Leave your outdoor gear in the vestibule, before heading through to the cosy lounge, where you’ll find comfortable seating set around a TV/DVD and a sweet table for two next to the window. The separate, compact kitchen has been carefully configured to include everything needed for a self-catering break. Steep, cottage-style stairs lead to the first floor and an inviting super-king-size bedroom and a refreshing shower room. The remaining bedroom is set under a sloping ceiling in the eaves on the second floor. Outside, across the passageway, is a self-contained annexe that accommodates a further two guests, featuring a kitchenette, sofa bed, and en-suite shower room. There is no outside area. However, with the beach and coast path on your doorstep, you’ll have plenty of outdoor space to stretch your legs.
Robin Hood’s Bay is a picturesque fishing village with cobbled streets and quaint cottages. You’ll find several cosy pubs within the villages, along with cafes and restaurants serving fresh seafood and delicious local produce. The village has a sandy beach that’s popular with fossil hunters and has numerous walking trails to explore including the Cleveland Way and the Coast to Coast Path. Just 5.5 miles along the coast is the vibrant town of Whitby, known for its evocative abbey ruins, historic harbour, and gothic architecture.
