This is the perfect location whether you're looking to strike out on long walks or simply stay in your own surroundings. On the edge of a pretty village of Gilling West, there's a great dining pub just a short walk away from the property. If you are a foodie, head to one of the local farm shops with delis and tearooms and where you will see farm animals grazing in the paddocks. The historic market town of Richmond is just 5 miles away with much to offer. Explore the cobbled market square or stroll up towards Richmond Castle for a slice of Yorkshire history. Head north to Barnard Castle, its streets lined with independent shops, cafes and art galleries. Bowes Museum is also well worth a visit.

Approached down a private drive, this detached stone-built barn is perched individually on the hillside offering panoramic views of the rolling countryside beyond. It features exposed beams, an inglenook fireplace and all the thoughtful little luxuries to enhance your stay. Walk into the open-plan kitchen/dining area enjoying the views on either side; this is an excellent social space for your group to enjoy time together. The spacious kitchen has all you need to prepare a delicious meal, including an electric oven and hob, combination microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Dine around the table with your loved ones and enjoy your home-cooked feast. After dinner, head through to the lounge and sit back on one of the comfy sofas warmed by the wood burner, before turning on the Smart TV for a relaxing movie night. Completing this floor is a cloakroom. When it's time to turn in, head downstairs to three stylish bedrooms, all of which are king-size; one has a private en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC. There is also a large dressing room so you can pack away your things. Lastly, on this floor, you will find the delightful bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC.

The house sits elevated on the hillside with two generous gardens offering plenty of room for children to run and tire themselves out! The hot tub nestles down some steps and offers a wonderful place for you to embrace the magical views. The large, decked area at the front is perfect for al fresco dining, relaxing and embracing the wonderful surroundings and views. There is ample parking in the driveway and upper parking area.

The property was beautiful. The owners i did not meet but they were very accommodating with my friend who arrived first. Super chilled weekend and I will definitely be back for another chilled weekend!

The property is amazing, location is great 10 mins away from richmond but just enough distance for peace and quiet fantastic views around with plenty of wildlife that come visiting the gardens from deer,hares, squirrels. Lovely house in a lovely location. The living room is really cosy when the fire is lit, the views are amazing and house is warm. There's a bus stop at the end of the drive, where the bus takes you to Richmond or Barnard Castle. We loved our stay at Broom Barn. The setting is beautiful - its amazing to have such a big garden and uninterrupted country views. Its a lovely, spacious property with everything you need for a relaxing week away. A beautiful cottage in a stunning location. Secluded and private with large grounds for the kids to play in and an inviting hot tub for a good relaxing soak. The house is beautifully decorated, very comfortable and well equipped. Definitely recommend staying there for your next holiday.

We had a lovely relaxing week at Broom barn and having the hot tub was a bonus. Lots of places to visit and a short walk down the lane and through fields to the pub for a well earned drink. This is a very peaceful area with lots of wildlife to be seen. We would definitely recommend.

Absolutely stunning cottage. The views and the grounds surrounding the cottage were amazing. Its very spacious and has everything you need including all the utensils etc in the kitchen and fresh towels/linen. The hot tub was big enough for all 6 of us to fit in comfortably and was a really nice addition to the property. Its only a short walk to 2 pRead moreubs along some relatively quiet country lanes. Broom Barn was a beautiful home for the week - secluded and private- just what we were looking for! Farm shop round the corner was great for quick supplies. Would highly recommend. Attentive owners were easy to get hold of for any issues during our stay.

Great place to rest, recuperate and recharge the batteries. The views are amazing and the sense of peace and tranquility overwhelms. A great area to venture out with lots of great eateries within easy reach.

This is a beautiful house in a lovely location. The house is well equipped and everything has been thought of. Would recommend the white swan for lunch / dinner in the nearby village.
