The remaining king-size bedroom is on the second floor and has stunning bi-fold doors opening onto a Juliet balcony. A family bathroom and a stylish shower room complete the accommodation. Outside, dine alfresco in the enclosed courtyard garden, before sinking into your private hot tub.
Great Ayton is a picture-postcard village with quaint cottages and historic buildings. History enthusiasts will be interested to discover that the village was the boyhood home of Captain Cook, and you can learn all about his life and naval career in the Captain Cook Schoolroom Museum. There are some beautiful walks in and around the village, including along the pretty River Leven. Overlooking the village is Roseberry Topping, and a climb to its summit will reward you with spectacular views out to sea and across the North York Moors National Park.
