Escape to the coast in this lovely little bolthole with a bright and airy open-plan living providing a wonderful space to relax after a day of exploring the coastline.

Hornsea is an unspoilt seaside town with an unassuming charm. Take a visit to Hornsea Mere, Yorkshire’s largest freshwater lake which gave the area its name, ‘Lakeland by the Sea’. Here you will find rowing and sailing boats and an opportunity to see some wonderful wildlife. Situated less than 30 miles from the busier resorts of Bridlington and Scarborough, you could also drive or catch a bus to the beautiful market town of Beverley, or visit Hull, the UK’s City of Culture 2017 and home to The Deep Aquarium. There are also various stately homes and gardens to visit within a few miles and the Yorkshire Wolds, made famous by artist David Hockney, are only 20 miles away.

Step into the bright and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which offers everything you need for a relaxing stay. Rustle up a hearty meal in the kitchen with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. Come together around the central dining table situated under the sky lights and enjoy a meal with good company. After a day exploring, relax on the comfy sofas in front of the Smart TV and let the light flood in through the floor-to-ceiling windows. There is also a handy separate WC. Head upstairs where you will find two lovely double bedrooms with matching furniture and pretty fabrics. The family bathroom offers a shower over the bath and WC.

Outside, there is an enclosed patio with bistro table accessed via walking around the side of the cottage. You will find a lockable shed, with power, providing handy bike storage space. There is seating to the front of the cottage which makes the most of the summer sun, but this space is not enclosed. There is off-road parking for one car.

  • 2 bedrooms - 2 double
  • 1 bathroom with shower over bath and WC and 1 separate WC
  • Regret no washing machine
  • Electric oven and hob, dishwasher and fridge/freezer
  • Smart TV in the lounge
  • 2 small dogs welcome (dogs are not permitted upstairs in the property)

The cottage is great , very well equipped with clear instructions where necessary and very very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Although it is close to the town centre it is very quiet but easy to walk to shops, pubs etc. The parking space right by the cottage makes it very easy

Would recommend to non dog owners - The only thing I did not like about the cottage was not being able to access the yard directly from the house, you have to go out of the front door and access by a side gate,

Lovely and comfortable home in a great location. You are able to walk to the beach and town as is very close. The dog friendly part of the beach is the other side, so that is a little further. House had all that we needed. As others have mentioned, there is a small enclosed space at the back, however on the shade and no grass, therefore if you haveRead more a dog like ours that only toilets on grass (or sand) you will need to go out. We used the Memorial Park around the corner. We had a lovely week. Hide

Appreciated the 'welcome pack'. Cottage may not have 'kerb appeal', but parking spot was more valuable. Cottage was comfortable, light & airy and well-equipped. Although on a residential street, cottage was very convenient (5 mins walk) from shops, pubs, take-aways & sea/beach.
