Located within the historic village of Orton, just half a mile from a country pub, a local cafe and a famous chocolate shop, two guests are invited to experience a peaceful pace of life on a romantic retreat of any length.

Having taken the stone steps up into the house and passed through the shared area, move on up to the first floor to reach the property itself. Make memories together in the open-plan living area with a lounge, kitchen and diner neatly organised into one room. There’s a spacious kitchen for rustling up all of your favourite meals and a flame-effect fire by the sofas in the lounge to create a warm, cosy ambience for when night falls. After dark, the king-size bedroom next door awaits. This room benefits from an en-suite bathroom with a spa bath for luxurious soaking. Outside, you’re free to enjoy the 5-acre garden space with mature flora, a fountain and a fishpond.

Despite its location in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Orton is in fact in Cumbria with the Lake District just a short drive away (3 miles). On the property’s doorstep is the National Nature Reserve area of Great Asby Scar, a place famous for its limestone pavement and the rare plant species found dotted around it. Walk through the area to reach Rutter Force (8.5 miles), a spectacularly scenic waterfall, or the Smardale Gill Viaduct (9.5 miles), a mighty feat of engineering.

What can I say but WOW. The apartment is amazing and the location beautiful. We stayed for a week but could have stayed longer. The location is within easy reach of loads of attractions, there are also lots of walks around the village so you don't have to venture far. We will definitely be back.

We stayed at Orton Hall it was really peaceful and so nice. Our Apartment was great had everything we needed. The owners were lovely although we didn't see them a lot no reason to but on the couple of occasions we did they were really nice. A perfect holiday if you want to really chill out. Lots of places to visit.

Naseby is a great little apartment with everything you could possibly need. Set in beautiful grounds with rabbits and red squirrels. It's an ideal base for exploring the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. Nice pub in the village but get there early if you want to eat as it's popular! Orton also has a very handy store for basic groceries and a lRead moreovely chocolate shop with a cafe. Everyone was really friendly and welcoming. Thoroughly recommend staying here and plan to return. Hide

I cannot stress how well equipped this apartment is - a real home from home. Everything included from washing up liquid and shampoo to chargers for electrical appliances ( a godsend as we had forgotten ours.) A great place to explore the less busy north Lakes or Yorkshire Dales. Very quiet and peaceful so we will definitely be staying here again

The accommodation was ideally situated for exploring the lakes and surrounding areas. There was a pub and shop about a 5 minute walk, the locals were very friendly. The accommodation itself was well equipped and catered for every need, the rooms were comfortable and spacious. Would highly recommend a stay and would definitely stay again.
