Indulge in a romantic stay for two at this enticing barn on a farm close to Stamford Bridge in the attractive East Riding of Yorkshire. Situated 2 miles from the picture-postcard village and 9 miles from the vibrant city of York, the one-bedroom, single-storey hideaway offers comfort and character between your many excursions out into the beautiful surroundings. The heart of the hideaway is an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner where you can unwind together before and after each adventure. This cosy space features soft seating where you and your significant other can curl up with a good book or watch the Smart TV. Open the French windows in here on summer mornings so you can step out into the courtyard garden with a cup of coffee. Dine outside in the fresh air on fine days too. Light the BBQ here or enjoy a stroll around the owner’s beautiful, shared gardens.

Treat yourselves to days out in York, where you can book tables in eateries and browse the shops, including those tucked away in the delightful Shambles. We had a wonderful holiday. Lovely accommodation in a great location, couldnt fault it! So close to everything we wanted to do: visiting National Railway museum in York; visiting the North Yorkshire Moors Railway; visiting Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay and Scarborough.

Great cottage, everything you could need and owner pleasant. Unfortunately we had to leave early owing to my ill health. Also the pub recommended for a meal was fabulous. As walkers it would have been nice if there had been some footpaths nearby
