The cottage is lovely and its a quiet place to stay, comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. The advertising was misleading as the pictured bench was broken and dumped to side and the garden was not enclosed, the space behind the property is a public footpath so not secure for our dog, what was most important to us was having an enclosed gardenRead more. It was advertised to have a pub 1 mile away and this was also false. The bathroom was also very dusty with hair and some dead bugs Hide

Cottage is incorrectly advertised as having an enclosed back garden. In reality it has a public footpath at the rear of the property which is not enclosed for small dogs. Convenient location, good for exploring the lake district. Cottage is a good mix of classic cottage and modernised rooms. Beds were fairly comfy, bedrooms seemed spacious for a cottage. Customer service was quick regarding a few issues we raised, so overall the stay was pleasant.

The cottage is well-kept, plenty in the kitchen for utensils, it is a little off the beaten-track, but thats exactly what I wanted.

Nice house and easy parking but a sadly lacking some home comforts. Most of our concerns were dealt with during our stay but the house does have a damp or wet dog odour, some dusty surfaces on arrival, no access to streaming on the television. Bring DVDs as the TV signal is intermittent. We have left behind a puzzle for future guests to enjoy on thRead moree rainy days. The outdoor space is a bench on the bridleway behind the house, next to the gas canisters. Not really useable sadly. Hide

Lovely cottage in a quiet village. Easy to get to Kendal and Windermere and loads of nice walks around. Clean and spacious not hugely child friendly but good enough for a few days away.

A lovely detached cottage in a quiet village that was extremely clean and supplied everything we needed for our week stay. This was our first time to the lake district and this cottage was central to all the places we wanted to see. Will like to come back if we make another trip up here in future.
