This detached family home is in Pateley Bridge, a pretty market town with quaint shops, a small museum, and friendly pubs all within 0.5 miles of your front door. Take leisurely wanders along the River Nidd, which runs behind the property, and venture into the Yorkshire Dales for scenic day hikes and trips to local beauty spots like Gouthwaite Reservoir (2.5 miles). This beautifully presented home sleeps up to eight guests over four bedrooms, so is wonderful for a trip among extended family or close friends and their children.

Once you’ve admired the striking stone facade, ascend four steps to the front door, then step into the gorgeous open-plan living area. This space benefits from floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides, allowing plenty of light into the room. There’s a spacious kitchen with a handy breakfast bar for preaching with coffee or snacks. The dining area looks out to the grassy garden and features bespoke built-in seating made from elegant wood panelling. You’ll also have a small lounge across the hall, along with a snug which is furnished with a wood burner, Smart TV, and sound bar. From the kitchen area, double doors lead out to a decked patio with plenty of seating. The garden, which surrounds the property, is wonderful for BBQs in good weather.

Walkers will be well catered for here – Pateley Bridge is the starting and finishing point on the circular Nidderdale Way, which loops around the Nidd Valley’s stunning scenery. You can also cycle sections of the route. Locally, visit popular sites like National Trust’s Brimham Rocks (4.5 miles), with its fascinating giant rock formations, or check out Fountains Abbey (9 miles), where historic ruins are surrounded by picturesque 18th-century landscaped gardens. The cathedral city of Ripon (12 miles) is a fab option for a day out.

This is a superb property, warm, comfortable and in a super location, away from any traffic and alongside the river. Perfect secluded escape but within easy walking distance of 2 supermarkets, butcher, baker, takeaways, pubs cafes and restaurants. Extremely quiet location, lots of public footpaths for walks. What a gorgeous house in a beautiful setting! We had a lovely weekend stay. The house had everything we needed in the perfect location close to the town and surrounded by lovely walks. Unfortunately the snow contained us a bit, but communication with the owners was great and we will definitely return! Thank you so much!!!

We booked the beautiful 2 Hoots cottage for our holiday away at Christmas and we were not disappointed! Its got everything in abundance,warm and spacious. A couple mins walk into the lovely village of Pateley Bridge that also has everything you need from shops to warm local pubs! Lovely property, ideal for all the family. Very spacious and beautifully decorated. Bedrooms very comfortable for all. We stayed as extended family , with our daughters and grandchildren and two dogs. Lovely welcome pack, and very well equipped kitchen.

Really lovely spacious house, very well equipped, excellent position, 5 minutes walk from the excellent shops and eaterys of Pately Bridge. Ample car parking and secure garden, soothing sounds of the Nidd and trees all around.

What a lovely cottage. We stayed for a short break but I could easily have stayed longer. The cottage appears to be a relatively new build and is spacious, light and finished to a high standard. It is also very well equipped. Although modern I though it was full of character. Bedrooms are generous in size with comfy beds. Be first to check in and gRead morerab the master suite. Ample parking available but beware of sap from the trees. You may want to cover your windscreen. Highly recommended. Hide

A lovely property in a great location. Its very quiet apart from the flow of the river and birdsong, yet its only 5 minutes walk into town. The house is very spacious, immaculate and extremely well equipped. The owner was very helpful too. Highly recommended.

Two Hoots is a fabulous place, one of the best we've stayed at. It's in a lovely peaceful setting in Pateley Bridge, but also within walking distance to the shops, playground,pubs & eating places. A great property in a wonderful location. Very comfortable and clean with all amenities provided and the garden is secure, so we and our two dogs were very happy. Its only a flat five minute walk to an array of shops and restaurants and the walk along the Nidd each morning was delightful. The owls hooting in the evening was the icing on the cake. Just returned after a wonderful holiday was better than expected. Cottage was very clean, comfy beds, facilities was everything you would need. Lovely property fully equipped to excellent standard. Perfect setting with plenty to see and do on the doorstep and no need to take the car out. Mornings and evenings are full of birdsong. Would love to return someday.

Clean and wet well equipped holiday home. All mod cons and nice touches like a welcome basket including tea, milk and biscuits. Very welcome after a long drive. Comfortable beds , a very secure garden and well placed for a 5 min walk to the local shops. The convenience store is open every day until 9pm, even on a Sunday.
