Great Ayton is famous for being the boyhood home of Captain Cook and is also mentioned in the Domesday Book. There are two village greens, the High Green and the Low Green, with the River Leven running alongside, making it a popular picnic spot in the summer months. The iconic Roseberry Topping, a 330-metre hill is just north of the village and commands a spectacular view. In the village are a good range of shops and inns, which, together with restaurants and cafes, cater well for holidaymakers. The village of Stokesley is a must visit, with cobbled streets, boutique shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants. Head to the Yorkshire heritage coastline with fishing villages of Staithes, Runswick Bay, Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay and Saltburn with winding streets and where fish and chips eateries are plentiful.

Arrive into the apartment via a set of stairs, the apartment is homely and has a freshly designed interior and contemporary feel. Perfect for couples who wish to explore the attractive village and beyond, this retreat is a breath of fresh air. Make your way down the hallway into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Enjoy everything this snug layout has to offer, whilst admiring the views of the outside. The kitchen is complete with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. Take your home cooked meal over to the well positioned table beside the large window. Lovely modern, clean, comfortable apartment in a village situation. Well equipped, with a good sized TV, and a big bay window from which to watch the passing walkers and horse riders. 3 minutes walk round the corner to the village green for the Post office, pub, Co-op and tasty pie shop.
