Go out for walks and bike rides from the door through the nearby countryside and cycle some of the Moor to Sea cycle network. Walk to Sawdon Beck in one direction (2 miles) and Raptor View in the other (1.5 miles), and go fishing, wild swimming, kayaking and have a go at all sorts of exciting activities at North Yorkshire Water Park (7.5 miles). Visit the seaside towns of ever-popular Scarborough (10.5 miles), gothic Whitby (21.5 miles), and tourist favourite Filey (16 miles) for shops, cafes, historic sites, attractions, and beaches.
