Embark on a romantic getaway for two at this country-style cottage in the Yorkshire Dales with its charming private garden. Nestled in the heart of the national park, you’ll find yourself in an area of tranquillity and adventure, with walks up and around Buckden Pike right on your doorstep where you can soak in the serenity of the views from the summit 702 metres high.
The ground floor is filled by a cosy open-plan living room/kitchen/diner which is flooded by natural light thanks to the dual aspect windows. Here, you can get comfortable on the armchairs and watch a film, or enjoy an intimate dinner at the dining table, cooked up in the pastel-hued kitchen which is compact yet cleverly designed to ensure you have everything you need during your stay. Upstairs, the bedroom is a calming haven with a characterful exposed beam, matching wooden furniture and a delightful double bed ensuring a good night’s rest. Completing the property is a fantastic double cubicle with a rainfall shower head. Outside, the garden is equally as beautiful, with a selection of mature plants and shrubs which burst into colour in the summer months offering a picturesque spot for a meal alfresco.
Avid walkers will be thrilled by the array of trails passing through the village including the Lady Anne Clifford Way, the Millennium Trail and the Triangle Walk. Visit the iconic Malham Cove (16.5 miles) and you’ll get to experience the breathtaking scenery of this unique geological formation which includes an amphitheatre, waterfall and dramatic valley views. For a little history, head to Bolton Castle and you can explore the grounds, experience falconry at its finest and stop off in the tearoom for a tasty treat.
