There’s so much for everyone to enjoy with a stay at this stunning property that invites families and groups of friends for a peaceful getaway near the gorgeous Yorkshire Dales. Boasting a games room, hot tub, Sonos speaker system and impressive garden, it’s located close to the amenities of Richmond, and is within easy reach of walking and cycling routes, beauty spots and historic attractions.

Spend time together in this high-quality detached house. When you’ve hung up your coat, head straight up the stairs to the first-floor lounge with its large sofas and Smart TV, and the games room where you can play pool or snuggle on the sofa while watching a movie. Read a book on the window seats in the kitchen/diner, a bright and airy room that’s fully equipped for your catering needs and includes a long table for sociable meals. Completing this floor are a utility room and a shower room. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor, a king-size and a twin, sharing a family bathroom. Finally, head up to the second floor to find a double and a king-size bedroom, plus a WC. The house is set within a walled garden on various levels, which includes a tiny pond and a variety of spots in which to lie in the sun, lounge in the shade or dine outdoors. You’ll also want to soak in the six-seater hot tub, which has views of Richmond Castle.

The Georgian market town of Richmond is a great base for getting out amidst the spectacular scenery of the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors, and is also an attraction in itself. Here you’ll find a cobbled market place, a Norman castle and a host of independent shops, cafes, pubs and museums, as well as a theatre and cinema.

The holiday cottage was absolutely perfect for all our family - we immediately felt relaxed and at home. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were fine and functional, the kitchen with dining area, and the lounge the same. The games room with pool table and assortment of box games was fun. And the beautiful private garden was fab - lovely sunbaRead morething area, a pretty old 'orangery' type conservatory for relaxing in, and a fire pit and fish pond too. The highlight was the hot tub. Beautiful cottage! Plenty of space so you never feel on top of each other even when there is 8 of you! Caroline was super helpful and accommodating. Also gave us restaurant recommendations which were a five minute walk away. Absolutely beautiful couldnt have had a better hen weekend. Would absolutely recommend and return!

Absolutely beautiful property with so many lovely touches! Perfect base for a family getaway with something for all ages groups. Super close to centre of Richmond also. We had a lovely weekend and would definitely recommend orchard house!

Wonderful quirky property in a great location. Lovely spaces for all to come together but also loads of quiet and beautiful nooks for everyone to find their own space. Stayed with 8 adults to celebrate a 60th birthday. House is lovely & in a great location. Was very clean throughout. The owner was very approachable & could be reached easily if any problems. Had a wonderful stay.
