Vintage design details and statement furnishings add an air of indulgence to this high-end home, one of a small cluster of holiday cottages near Nidderdale and the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Indulge your taste for the high life with a trip to Harrogate – the spa town is just over 12 miles away.

Surrounded by a patchwork of fields, this deluxe residence is one of a small group of holiday retreats above Nidderdale’s riverside village of Dacre Banks. Inside, its bold patterns and colour palettes accentuate a skilfully curated blend of period and contemporary furnishings and design details. At the heart of the home is a semi-open-plan living space, featuring an on-trend kitchen/diner complete with a traditional dining suite plus bar-style seating at a central island unit. Adjacent, the lounge has an altogether different feel – in the daytime, light floods in through the large window, but close the curtains at night and you can sink into the sofas and warm your toes before the wood burner-effect electric fire as you watch TV. A handy cloakroom/utility area completes the ground floor layout. Upstairs, you’ll find a fabulous snug/cinema room with a Smart TV and a large sofa plus two dreamy bedrooms – the first is a super-king-size featuring a walk-in dressing room and en-suite bathroom with both a bath and separate shower, the second a king-size. Wander half a mile into the village for vital supplies and traditional pub fare, or drive to Harrogate for the ultimate in upmarket retail, dining and indulgent experiences – the elegant town is home to the famous Betty’s Café Tea Rooms and the Turkish Baths. If immersion in nature is more to your liking, Nidderdale is just to the north – head 3 miles for a walk around the dramatic Brimham Rocks, or 5 miles to Pateley Bridge, a picture-postcard town at the heart of the AONB.

This is the second time I have stayed at the cottages. Both cottages developed and interior designed to a very high standard, but keeping the homely welcome feel. The beds and bed linen the best, which gives you a wonderful nights sleep. And the view! By night wonderland. Lets hope at nearly 80 I can drive up from Sussex again.

This cottage really has the wow factor. Such a beautiful place to stay in one of the most stunning parts of the country. Could not recommend highly enough. Fantastic!

Well-appointed and beautifully decorated cottage in a stunning setting. It is so peaceful with a deer who visits most mornings. Hope to stay there again. Be aware when you arrive, there are three dogs that occasionally run loose around the estate.
