Stride out across the verdant North Yorkshire moors from this exquisite retreat near Church Houses in Farndale. Sleeping four guests, the gorgeous, converted stable offers both rustic charm and exceptional style from its picturesque position, 8.5 miles from Kirkbymoorside. Encompassing beautiful, single-storey accommodation, and welcoming four-legged friends, it makes a great choice for both dog-loving couples and small families keen to immerse themselves in nature while enjoying exceptional comfort.

Wander inside to find yourselves in light-filled, open-plan accommodation. The lounge/kitchen/diner features exposed stone walls, beautiful beams, vaulted ceilings and flagstone floors. Return from long walks and cycle rides to relax in this lovely space, where you can watch TV, play games and cook up delicious meals with the local Yorkshire produce you can source on your excursions. The country-style kitchen has everything you need to help you in your endeavours and there is ample space for everyone to spread out. At the end of each busy day, treat yourselves to a good night’s sleep in one of the two bedrooms. These include a king-size bedroom and a double, each with the same charming character as the rest of the cottage and with a TV for lazy mornings in bed. There is also a family shower room. Sit outside in your lawned garden on warm days. Have lunch and dinner out in the fresh air as you absorb the panoramic views and watch for birds and other wildlife.

Pull on your walking boots, pack a sandwich or two and venture straight out across the rolling dales. Head into Kirkbymoorside to stock up on local produce or enjoy a meal out in a friendly Yorkshire pub. Plan a day trip to Whitby, 22.5 miles away, to spend time on the beach and climb up to the abbey ruins.

A cosy, well appointed cottage. Conveniently positioned for the Yorkshire Moors and coast, but also well placed for trips further afield, such as York.

Beautiful place to stay, well equipped and comfortable. Feels lovely and remote but also near enough the main road to be accessible to all areas. Don't be put off by there being a pub opposite - we had no noise issues at all and it provides lovely food at good price which you can collect it to eat in the property - lovely at the end of a busy day!!Read more Highly recommend. Cottage was good size, and well equipped and clean Great location. Garden is accessed by the courtyard and not directly by the garden which was a little frustrating for trips to garden with dogs. Overall a lovely week .
