Cottage was extremely comfortable and well equipped. It seemed that all needs had been anticipated and catered for. Sue and Charles were excellent hosts. Treats on arrival very much appreciated. Lots to see and visit within a few miles.

We had a wonderful stay at Slaters Barn. The hosts were very welcoming, showed us around the Barn and had left us bread and milk, with tea/ coffee available. The Barn is beautifully presented and there is everything you need for a week away. The surrounding area is beautiful and the Barn provided a great base for exploring. Wow, what a location for this beautiful barn. We met Sue on arrival who made us so welcome. The barn is just amazing with everything you need (even cotton wool) The fire place, bathroom with walk in shower and kitchen are excellent features. Nidderdale is an ideal base for getting around north Yorkshire, it's simply breathtaking. Tim the butcher neRead morext door makes the finest scotch eggs and pork pies you'll ever eat! You could not ask for better hosts we were welcomed by sue who offered information about local area Charles made himself available later in the week.the cottage had everything you need like going from home to home plenty of storage very clean with pots and pans for all needs. Would have given 6 stars if I could have. Immaculate, beautifully thought out, decorated, furnished and equipped. Owners super friendly, helpful and generous. Feels as though they have thought of everything to make the stay special. Fabulous property and area.

This cleverly converted, tastefully decorated & extremely well equipped stone barn in a good North Yorkshire location makes for an excellent self-catering base. The property is in the grounds of, & quite close to, the owner's house, within the village - which has a good butcher, small general store, fish & chip shop (good) & a pub (we didn't try itRead more). This is a fantastic barn conversion. Tastefully done with absolutely everything you need. The owners were most welcoming and helpful but gave us all the privacy we needed. Had a fabulous stay..loved it..

Lovely converted barn, very well equipped and furnished to a high standard. Located on the eastern edge of the Dales with lots to see and do in the vicinity.

Great place to stay the owners are very friendly with lots of local information to share . When we arrived there was lots of little extras like milk /tea/biscuits/and a loverly fresh sourdough loaf . The butchers next door sell the most amazing meals and the meat is divine . A place you must try .

Need to know advises busy farming traffic at certain times - we departed one day early due to two nights dreadful sleep caused by incessant noise from heavy vehicles/trailers. Slater's Barn was a very comfortable holiday property. The welcome from Sue set the tone for a lovely relaxing week. The property was spotlessly clean and very well equipped with all sorts of little extras that you could normally only hope to find in a holiday home. Beautiful cottage in a village just outside Ripon. Spotlessly clean and well appointed, with a real fire. The butchers next door and the fish and chip shop over the road kept us well fed, as did the many eateries in Ripon and surrounds. I would definitely recommend this cottage for a quiet getaway.
