If you like to be by the coast, drive 15.5 miles and you'll arrive in the resort town of Scarborough where you can check out the Sea Life Sanctuary, the ancient castle or the picturesque Peasholm Park.

Upon entry, you'll discover the perfect blend of contemporary and traditional style that creates a real sense of period charm in each and every room. At the heart of this home is the tastefully decorated lounge, boasting reclaimed floorboards, beautiful soft furnishings and a cosy wood burner, creating a tranquil oasis to retreat to. Across the hallway is a second lounge/snug where you'll find board games, a music system and cosy wood burner for those who enjoy some downtime. On further exploration, you'll come across the bright and airy kitchen diner, offering plenty of space and amenities where you can prepare and indulge in sumptuous home cooked meals. Lovely, well equipped and spacious cottage in the centre of a very pretty village. Perfect location for visiting the coast, the moors and places of interest.

A lovely cottage but Not 5 star as listed. Cottage equipment not up to standard and cleanliness wasnt up to scratch. A shame because we loved the location and parking facilities.

To be very honest, this is by far the best cottage we have ever stayed at. And weve seen some! So much care has been taken in making our stay comfortable. Perfect for a family of 5. Thanks! We will come back; we have relatives in Thornton and now also a great place to stay!

Absolutely gorgeous cottage, immaculate and very pretty. Nice garden for eating in and directly behind a quiet pub garden for eating and drinking too. Right in the heart of the village was great for pubs, bakery and general stores. Idyllic stream (with ducklings) running through and around village, kids adored paddling in it! The cottage was very well appointed and very comfortable. The only criticism we had was that there seemed to be a lack of attention to detail in respect of the cleaning regime in the kitchen and found it necessary to clean all the crockery and cutlery that we intended to use and to also clean work surfaces as these were not up to our standard. We hRead moread no complaints whatsoever regarding the rest of the cottage and we had a really lovely holiday. The garden was lovely. The location was perfect Hide
