This spacious stone cottage with rustic country interiors is set near a beck and is surrounded by the tranquil natural beauty of the Nidderdale National Landscape. Up to six guests and one canine companion can enjoy a getaway filled with cosy evenings by the fire and al fresco dining. In the daytime, you can visit nearby English towns, historic castles, and landmarks and enjoy relaxing strolls along scenic walking trails.

You’ll notice the character and charm of this cottage from the moment you step through the stable door into the stylish lounge with elegant country-style decor. Two leather sofas sit on either side of the inglenook fireplace with a wood burner. Three steps lead down to the open-plan kitchen/diner with a wooden beamed ceiling, rustic low-hanging lights, and a sleek ‘L’-shaped kitchen. In the centre of the room is a chic wooden dining table. Adjoining, is a snug area with furniture and a TV. Also on the ground floor is a super-king-size zip-and-link bedroom with an en-suite wet room. Upstairs, is a family shower room with a walk-in monsoon shower, plus two king-size bedrooms, one with an en-suite bathroom. Outside, you’ll find a patio and courtyard with a BBQ and furniture.

During your stay in High Birstwith, you could start your day with a walk along the beck. For a meal out, you could head to the nearby town of Ripley (5.5 miles) which is also home to a castle, ice cream shop and an art gallery. Wander along Ripley Lake and explore the Deer Park (5 miles). Take a picnic to the Fewston and Swinsty Reservoirs (5.5 miles) don’t miss a trip to the 400-acre National Trust Brimham Rocks (7 miles).

The cottage was equipped to an extremely highly standard and was very clean. The cottage was very cosy and comfortable and was like I home from home.

Cottage well equipped and very comfortable. Having three en-suite bedrooms was great for a family group. Enjoyed the hamper of goodies left by the owners.

A beautiful barn conversion in a lovely setting. The cottage is well equipped, very clean and comfortable. If you are here to go walking it is right in the middle of lots of great walks. The kitchen is a fine area for cooking, eating and drinking wine! You wont regret coming here.

An easy transition from home to barn. Everything a visitor/stranger to the area needs. Information on area, household products, super-duper hamper, heating already on, all questions and issues dealt with immediately, and as a bonus, the maple and acers were in their prime. The Barn is beautiful and comfortable. It has been tastefully furnished and is very well equipped with everything you can think of. A real home from home and spotlessly clean. Beautiful property in a lovely setting. Ample parking space, secure outside area for the dog and a gorgeous welcome hamper. Sarah was very responsive with any queries we had during our stay. There was a stairgate available and a high chair for our young children. Would absolutely recommend.

Carr Well Barn is situated in the beautiful countryside with plenty of walks and local pubs to enjoy, the inside doesnt disappoint either! Beautifully decorated with wonderful facilities for a truly luxury home from home feel. What a relaxing wonderful place, we didnt want to leave!
