Set in the Nidderdale National Landscape, this traditional 19th-century stone-built cottage is perfect for a family or couple seeking a dog-friendly retreat in the Yorkshire countryside. With a garden, wood burner and tasteful boutique-style interiors, you’ll be sure to have a memorable and comfortable stay. Enjoy a holiday filled with history and nature, and trips to the nearby rural villages and quaint English towns.

Make yourself at home in the cosy lounge with an eye-catching fireplace boasting a wood burner. Two comfortable sofas sit on either side of the fire and the room is dotted with timeless chic decor. Continue into the attractive kitchen/diner which is equipped with a washing machine and dishwasher. The galley kitchen has shaker-style cabinets and there is a dining table for enjoying special evening meals with your loved ones. Climb the stairs to find two Art Deco super-king-size bedrooms – each with a TV and en-suite, one of which has a claw-foot bath. Outside, you’ll find a private courtyard with window boxes, potted plants, a BBQ and furniture.

Soak up your natural surroundings during your stay in the countryside village of Lofthouse and enjoy long dog walks along the River Nidd. Stroll around the Gouthwaite Reservoir (4 miles) before stopping for lunch at a traditional local pub. History enthusiasts should visit the fascinating Druid’s Temple, Colsterdale Towers and Arnagill Tower (all within 9.5 miles). Browse the boutique shops in the spa town of Harrogate (21 miles) or visit England’s oldest sweet shop in Pateley Bridge (7 miles).

Amazing cottage! Bluebell of Lofthouse has everything you want to enjoy a relaxing and cosy break. Superkingsize beds are soooo comfortable (be spoiled) En-suite bathrooms are a bonus. Both bedrooms are excellent. Kitchen lovely to use and well equipped. Dining area also lovely. Sitting room very comfortable with log burner.
