This rustic converted barn boasts traditional cottage features such as wooden beamed ceilings, exposed stone walls and sandstone floors. A formal dining room, enclosed garden and scenic rural surroundings make this property an excellent choice for a getaway for a family or a group of six friends. Spend your time away exploring the lakeside hiking trails, historic landmarks and quaint English towns of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

As you enter the property, you’ll be blown away by the character and charm of the interiors. The ambient dining room reflects its surroundings with natural materials from the floor to the ceiling, with exposed stone walls, a vaulted wooden beamed ceiling, stone flooring, and wooden furnishings throughout. Continue into the more contemporary lounge area with a plump ‘L’-shaped sofa and crisp decor. The farmhouse-style galley kitchen is compact but well organised with modern appliances and plenty of surface space for cooking a hearty meal for your loved ones. Head upstairs to find a family bathroom plus three chic double bedrooms. Outside, is a private, enclosed courtyard with furniture.

During your getaway in a rural location on the eastern edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, you can start every day with a tranquil walk through nature – along the River Burn or around the Leighton Reservoir (3.5 miles). Step back in time with a trip to the well-preserved and unusual structures of the Druid’s Temple (4 miles), the Colsterdale Towers (4 miles) or Jervaulx Abbey (9 miles). Pack a picnic and venture into the 223 square miles of Nidderdale National Landscape (14.5 miles). Pop to the nearby town of Masham (5 miles) for an afternoon at the brewery, a stroll along the river or a meal out at an independent eatery.

Beautiful area with lovely views from the property. A great place to get away from it all. Feels lovely and remote. Well equipped. Bedrooms nicely presented. Need to supervise dogs as the wall has a gap and small dogs can get beneath the gates.
