Tockwith has a village shop, two welcoming pubs, and a peaceful circular walk that takes you along the banks of the Nidd and country paths. For more energetic pursuits, visit the 700-metre Tockwith Outdoor Karting Circuit (1 mile). The historic market town of Wetherby (6.5 miles) also offers fine walks beside the lovely River Wharfe, along with shops and eateries. Beningbrough Hall (14 miles) is a National Trust Georgian gem filled with antiques and artworks. There’s a walled kitchen garden, a wilderness play area for children and plants for sale.
