Head out for walks along the picturesque Lyke Wake Walk, a 40-mile route across the moors to the coastal village of Ravenscar. Pick up the Cleveland Way in Osmotherley and Wainwright's famous coast-to-coast walk which passes close by. Explore the ruins of the impressive Rievaulx Abbey (14 miles) and the well-preserved 13th-century Mount Grace Priory (4.5 miles). Pop into market town Northallerton (7 miles) to do some shopping or go out for coffee and take the kids to Lightwater Valley Theme Park (25 miles) for an exciting day out.
