A nice house and garden in a lovely pretty and friendly village, the host is very helpful and not intrusive. The house would benefit from some updating but that didn't affect our holiday there. We would go again. PS Lovely to hear the church bells most days and see the ducks in the beck right outside the front door.

The house is set in a lovely village. Pub and shop nearby which is a bonus when renting a large house. The house is lovely nice garden and well equipped. 10 people all of a certain age 70 + all said the beds were so comfortable, they may change theirs on returning home. Had a great few days at Brookside. Lovely house in a great spot, with easy access to various tourist towns and villages. Our host left us a welcome pack, which was appreciated! Parking is tight, but we got 3 cars on the drive and there is plenty of on street parking very nearby. Had a meal at Bay Horse over the road, which was good. A great house for a larger group! Comfortable, a little quirky, lots of room and the garden was great for the dog. All the facilities needed in the immediate area and excellent helpful support from Darcy. There was everything we needed at the cottage which was a lovely home from home. The garden was lovely and the house very spacious and surprisingly cosy for such a big property. Lovely house in a nice location. Our family enjoyed getting together under one roof for a relaxing week. Loved the piano in the hallway and selection of books. The care taker was warm and welcoming. I would recommend this cottage to any large family/ friends wanting to enjoy the countryside.

This really is a lovely house for a big family get-together - comfortable, spacious and full of character. The bedrooms are pleasant, and as two have en-suite, it makes bathroom availability unproblematic for a large group. Great house and location would recommend this to anyone wishing to get away from it all. Size of the house with 12 of us was perfect, couldn't find any negative points.
