We think one of the best things about going on holiday is sampling all of the delicious local food and drink delicacies whilst you're there. Yorkshire is absolutely jam packed with flavour and has some of the finest producers in the country. We've rounded up our favourite fodder from throughout the county, which we think you must try on your next break in Yorkshire.
Yorkshire Coast
Fortune's Kippers, Whitby
Fortune's smokehouse and shop is one of Whitby's most famous attractions and can be found nestled beneath the ancient cliffs at the bottom of the famous 199 steps which lead up to Whitby Abbey. Why not buy some kippers and treat yourself to a traditional Whitby breakfast.
Baytown Brewery, Robin Hood's Bay
Smugglers Tours and Beer Tastings run by Baytown are a great way to learn more about Robin Hood's Bay's 1000 years of rich heritage. First, take a gentle one hour stroll to find out about the town's smuggling history. Then enjoy a tasting of all of Baytown’s beers.
Whitby Gin, Whitby
Move over Count Dracula; blood is no longer Whitby's favourite tipple! With a recipe paying homage to Whitby town's history this artisan gin uses Moorland heather, sugar kelp and local Yorkshire honey and can be found served in many of Whitby's bars and restaurants.
Justin's Fudge, Whitby
Justin's Chocolatier have been making fine fudges and chocolates since 1981. With a huge array of flavours you'll be spoilt for choice so why not treat yourself whilst on your holidays and take some more home to enjoy later, if it lasts that long!

Yorkshire Dales
Wensleydale Cheese, Hawes
The fantastic visitor centre at Wensleydale Creamery is a great day out for all the family and includes cheese-making demonstrations, a viewing gallery and a museum. And best of all you can sample over 20 varieties of this delicious handcrafted cheese!
Raydale Preserves, Askrigg
This family run business produces an array of delicacies including jams, chutneys, sauces and more and you can find them in many of the independent delis, farm shops and tea rooms throughout the Yorkshire Dales. Grab yourself some delicious chutney to enjoy with some local cheese from the Wensleydale Creamery.
Inspired Chocolate, Leyburn
Fusing Belgian chocolate with some Yorkshire flare this unique chocolate factory in Wensleydale has a dedicated chocolate room and sweet kitchen where visitors can view the whole process. There's also a cafe and shop where you can indulge in this luxurious handmade chocolate.

Yorkshire Wolds and Vale of York
The Groovy Moo, Malton
The small market town of malton has a big reputation for fantastic food and if delicious ice cream and gelato are your thing then a visit to this artisan gelateria is a must. There's oodles of different flavours to try, such as their best sellers salted caramel gelato and Bakewell tart gelato.
Yorkshire Rape Seed Oil, Malton
Based in Thixendale on the edge of the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds, this family run business specialises in the production of our award-winning cold pressed Yorkshire Rapeseed Oils, dressings and mayonnaise. Catch them at lots of the local food and agricultural shows which take place throughout the region, including the Great Yorkshire Show 9-11 July, The Dales Festival of Food & Drink 20-21 July and Countryfile Live Castle Howard 15-18 August.
Wold Top Brewery
Set high on the Yorkshire Wolds where the hills roll down to the North Sea, this family run business prides itself on brewing superior quality beer from home grown barley and water that is gently filtered by the chalk of the Yorkshire Wolds. The brewery offers tours every Tuesday and includes a pint and branded glass.
