Last weekend Yorkshire played host to one of the largest cycling races in the world, the annual Tour de Yorkshire.
Yorkshire looked suitably dressed up for the occasion with yellow and blue painted bicycles and bunting lining many houses and businesses. After a snowy start to the week thankfully the weather eased up, just a little bit of rain and even some sunshine making an appearance!
Yorkshire is fast becoming one of the capitals for cycling in the world, over 2 million people flocked to Yorkshire over the weekend to watch the action! We went down to Scarborough’s North Bay to watch the exciting finale and saw winner Thomas Voeckler cross the finishing line.It was a great day out and we can’t wait for next year!
