Just 3 miles away, the market town Settle sits at the gateway to Upper Ribblesdale, on the southern edge of the Yorkshire Dales. Famous as the starting point of the Settle-Carlisle Railway, the town is home to listed buildings, independent shops and friendly inns, and hosts a bustling market every Tuesday. There’s a lovely riverside walk here, but for longer hikes head into the Yorkshire Dales National Park. For a real challenge, tackle the Yorkshire Three Peaks: Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. Alternatively, head across the Forest of Bowland National Landscape for a tour of historic Lancaster (23 miles west) and take a stroll along the golden sands of Morecambe Bay.

What a wonderful and peaceful location. We could not have wished for more, it was just what we needed. Beautiful setting, peaceful and relaxing. The hot tub and the views were amazing. The accommodation was tastefully furnished and decorated. We had beautiful weather, lovely to see the surroundings in Spring.
