Enjoy an unforgettable getaway with your loved ones at this gorgeous farmhouse sitting on the owner’s livestock farm just 1 mile outside the village of Staxton. Sleeping six people across three bedrooms, it''s a great accommodation option for families or groups of friends in search of a characterful retreat to call home while discovering Yorkshire together. During the day, explore the beautiful gardens, boating lake and cascading waterfalls at Scarborough’s Peasholm Park. In the evening, come home to enjoy a BBQ feast in the farmhouse’s lovely garden and enjoy a drink or two in the summerhouse.

Park your vehicles in the spacious private parking space, step inside the cottage and you’ll find a welcoming hallway with a tall wood burner, brick accent walls and beautiful exposed beams. Make your way to the cosy snug to your right to make yourself at home, before later heading to the country style kitchen to whip up your favourite dishes for dinner. Get everyone together to eat at the stylish wooden dining table – there’s room for everyone. Alternatively, head out into the garden, fire up the gas BBQ and dine alfresco. After dinner, enjoy a little peace and quiet in the summer room, or head upstairs to the lounge to warm your toes by the wood burner. This is a lovely space with wooden beams and exposed brickwork. At the end of the day, there are three stylish bedrooms waiting for you. You’ll find two on the ground floor: one with a king-size bed, and another with a super-king-size zip-and-link bed (can be converted into twins upon request). Both offer pretty paddock views. These rooms share a family bathroom with a walk-in shower. Upstairs you’ll find the master bedroom, which features a super-king-size zip-and-link bed (can be converted into twins upon request) and offers lovely rural views. This bedroom has a modern en-suite bathroom with a free-standing bath. In the morning, wake up and slide open the French doors from the lounge and head down into the pretty garden to enjoy the fresh morning air with a hot cup of coffee.

Get the gang together for a day of traditional seaside fun at Filey Beach (8.5 miles). Alternatively, go birdwatching at Bempton Cliffs (15.5 miles). Keep your eyes peeled for gannets, puffins, razorbills and guillemots.

Absolutely beautiful Barn, situated in a quiet location on a working farm. Everything you need in the property. Fab hosts. Definitely visit again.

Absolutely lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings. Near the beaches. Bridlington was our favourite. Hosts were so friendly and helpful. Cottage really well equipped. Very clean. Beds very comfortable. Lovely secure garden for the dogs as promised. Everything you could hope for. Will definitely be returning
