Overall, really good. The only thing being the lack of cleaning items and products available. Had we have been made aware of this before leaving we would have bought our own though we didn't have any desire to go out of our way to buy cleaning items when we re on holiday.

Positives. Refurb excellent, good use of space, internet fast and reliable, TV was great, didn't use the bedroom one. Furniture and bed comfortable. Position of cottage amazing, views great, soap opera with the car park. Nice yard outside, but shared, so not sure how that works in the summer, but is dog friendly. Great position and access to amenitRead moreies, lots of walking. Negatives. Needed a good clean, rooms have edges and corners, and under furniture. Shower cubicle, although the shower was excellent, needed a good clean. Bed, although comfortable, was huge, and I had to buy a pillow, as those supplied were too hard. A teapot or cafetieire would be good, I took my own, as would a tea towel. Items had been left in the fridge, not acceptable. Wouldn't recommend to those with any mobility problems, lots of small steep staircases. Parking a real issue, parked up by the Abbey, car parks expensive, if you can get a space, W scratch cards puzzling, and no space there either. Noise every time next door have showers. Hide

Dean Cottage is delightful. Spotlessly clean, high spec, character property. The bed was sooo comfortable. Very convenient location in the heart of Whitby overlooking the harbour. Parking was the only issue, but thats true of Whitby as a whole. We parked on the road on past the 40 min restriction and left car there all week. Bus to ScarborougRead moreh & Robin Hoods Bay easier than driving and parking and bus to Sandsend for beach half hourly highly recommended. Flat fee of 2 per journey too! We had a great time. Hide

Great cottage, in an amazing location. We arrived just before Christmas to find the owners had trimmed up, which made it feel even more welcoming and homely. They also left us a welcome pack of wine and chocolates, whats not to like! The view from the lounge over the harbour was great. Would definitely stay again.

Everything about this property was as new, The kitchen although tiny had everything you needed, a cooker, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster even washing and dishwashing tablets. The furniture throughout was of good quality clean and comfortable. The only problem we had was with the tv. On arrival after unpacking and eaRead moreting out, we turned on the tv and it asked for the Prime Video PIN, I contacted Gary the owner who told me to use xxxx which worked until we turned it off and took the dog out for a walk. On return Prime again asked for the PIN,xxxx did not work we contacted Gary again but he could not supply us with the correct details to gain access to the smart tv so we did not have any tv for the rest of our stay,. I have contacted Gary requesting a refund for the lack of tv with no response. Hide
