Property code: OC-DS1052

Listen to the sound of the River Swale and watch the wildlife navigate its gentle waterfalls from this exceptional cottage in Richmond. Sleeping four guests, and offering dog-friendly accommodation, the four-bedroom hideaway nestles in an enviable position within the historic Yorkshire town. Explore the Yorkshire Dales National Park during your stay and return from your days out to relax in your split-level garden and take in the impressive views.

Arrive at the cottage and head straight into the kitchen to put the kettle on for a cup of tea to enjoy with a slice of Yorkshire parkin. Carry it through to the open-plan lounge/diner/sun room, which is filled with natural light. Sit by the window to take in the beautiful views or settle on the soft seating in front of the Smart TV. Fire up the wood burner on autumn or winter evenings. There is ample space in here for dining round the table on those occasions you choose not to eat out in restaurant in Richmond. When the day has drawn to a close, climb the oak staircase up to your bedrooms. These include a king-size and a twin. The family bathroom is also up here. Awake to picturesque views of your surroundings then decide whether to have breakfast out in the attractive garden on fine summer mornings. Parking is in a nearby pay car park, subject to availability.

Immerse yourselves in the character and charm of Richmond, with its picture-postcard streets, interesting shops and historic castle. Stroll just over 1 mile alongside the river to see the impressive ruins of Easby Abbey and to picnic by the water’s edge. Enjoy the magnificent landscape of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, with its many footpaths and beauty spots. Make a trip to the Aysgarth Falls, for example, 15 miles away.

Honey Cottage is one of the nicest cottages we've stayed in, probably the nicest. Its location is excellent and everything looked as if it had just been newly done. There is a tiny car park down the lane on the left below the house, which has no restrictions of any kind, which my brother and sister-in-law used when they joined us towards the end ofRead more the week. Would definitely use the cottage again if we found ourselves visiting Richmond again. Hide

Great location nice and quiet but close to the town. Property is well equipped, comfortable king bed, walk in shower and good sized private garden with lovely furniture. Our second visit to the property as we liked so much, third visit already booked.
