We really enjoyed our stay at Newkin House. Great location and lovely cottage that was cosy and very comfortable. We would highly recommend this as a base for exploring the area or just for relaxing and doing nothing at all!

This stay was a birthday present for my husband who actually grew up in the cottage from birth until he was 15 and to sleep in the bedroom that he shared with his brothers and to wake up and enjoy the beautiful views, as he did then. His father bought the cottage with a loan from a friend, Kit Calvert (who started up Wensleydale cheese and also puRead moret the play area in Hawes for the children). There were two staircases in the house then and no inside toilet or bathroom, so he has been amazed with the transformation of the cottage. It has been done with great taste. The Barn in the view from the double bedroom on the left, he milked cows there. So thank you for being here and giving us the chance to make dreams come true. We have really enjoyed our holiday in Yorkshire. The cottage is lovely & from the moment we walked in we felt comfortable. Hide

This is a really nice cottage right in the middle of Bainbridge. Lots of nice options to explore around the village and further afield. A really nice base to explore from and come back to. The coffee shop over the road was stopped at every morning!

Beautiful comfy cottage in a gorgeous part of the Yorkshire Dales national park. We slept so well here and loved the space of the downstairs area. Really pretty cottage and the owners have done a fantastic job. Slight cons: The cooking ingredients were very basic, only salt and pepper, no other spices or olive oil. I was also surprised how there Read morewas no sugar to go with the tea. Hide
