Spend time on the beach in Scarborough when you stay at this penthouse apartment with sea views. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom retreat is perfect for a family seaside break or couples eager to discover the North Yorkshire Heritage Coast. Set on the fifth floor of a striking, period building, the apartment is well positioned for shops and eateries and is just 200 metres from the seafront and the sandy beach.

Climb the steps up to the front door of the handsome Edwardian house then ascend the stairs to your private quarters. Shuffle off your flip-flops or walking shoes and wander through to the lounge to take in the astounding views. From here you can look over towards the beach or right across the rooftops of the town towards the North York Moors. Find your favourite boxset on the Smart TV, then unwind on the comfortable seating. The kitchen/diner has been designed to encompass everything you need to help you cater for your party during your stay using your own ingredients. Rustle up hearty meals then enjoy them together at the table as you gaze out of the window. When you are ready for a good night’s sleep, head through to one of the two bedrooms, a king-size and a bunk bedroom, which has a double bed below and a single above. There is also a family bathroom. Although this property does not have any outside space, guests can stroll down to the park behind the beach to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine.

Visit the castle in Scarborough during your stay. This former medieval royal fortress enjoys panoramic views out along the coastline. Take the children to the water park, Sealife Centre or on a trip up the cliff tramway. Plan a day out to Whitby, 20 miles away.

Very nice and comfortable apartment, with wonderful views. Incredibly well placed for Scarborough Spa, as well as the seafront in general. Some shops nearby and only a short walk into town. Would definitely stay here again.

The only down side was the lift not working as it's the top floor so a long way with your bags if you are not in good health.key box isn't right to the main door.....right up the main stone steps on right hand side of the pillow post .

My 2 (7 & 10) daughters loved it, especially the Seagull. I have no complaints on anything. We really enjoyed our time in Scarborough, and we'll be back.
