Perched high above Robin Hood's Bay, and within the North York Moors National Park, this charming cottage offers you the very best of Yorkshire’s coastal and countryside beauty. It’s in Fylingthorpe, a sweet village with a traditional pub and shop (both within 300 metres). Cyclists will be thrilled to know that the Cinder Track, a picturesque 22-mile-long route from Whitby to Scarborough, is joinable 0.5 miles from the village. With one double bedroom, the accommodation would work well for a solo traveller or a couple keen to explore and discover this delightful corner of England.
The cottage is decorated in a traditional and homely style, with artwork, mirrors and cheerful soft furnishings contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. Upon arrival, a private patio leads up to an entrance porch. Once inside, a good-sized kitchen/dining room sets the scene for creating and enjoying holiday feasts – or you could dine alfresco if the weather allows it. The lounge features a cosy wood burner and Smart TV for romantic evenings in. The double bedroom benefits from garden views for refreshing mornings, perhaps with breakfast in bed since it’s holiday time!
Your front door opens up to mile upon mile of stunning walks, cycle paths and bridleways across coastal and country landscapes – plan long or short routes and take a tasty picnic or enjoy a yummy pub lunch along the way. Head down to the enchanting Robin Hood's Bay (under 1 mile), a historic fishing village known for its atmospheric cobbled streets and delightful mix of cafes, pubs and shops, all set against the stunning coastline of the Heritage Coast. Whitby (5.5 miles) is wonderful for a day out by the sea, with its sandy beaches, museum and Gothic abbey ruins.
