Upstairs are the two bedrooms, a gorgeous king-size bedroom with an ornate bed and wooden features, and a pretty twin room with gorgeous soft furnishings; there’s also a family bathroom on this floor. Outside, sit in the walled and gated patio area at the front, and use the bench in the shared lawn area for al fresco drinks and lunches next to the babbling brook.
Head out for a hearty walk on the Nidderdale Way, which runs right past the front door, followed by a trip to the local pub for well-deserved drinks and dinner. Check out the shops and cafes at Pateley Bridge (6 miles), explore the incredible rock formations at Brimham Rocks (10 miles) and the ancient ruins of Fountains Abbey (15 miles). The spa town of Harrogate (20 miles) is worth visiting too, it’s home to boutique shops and one of Betty’s famous tearooms as well as ancient Turkish Baths where you can experience the ultimate in luxury treatments and relaxation.
