The cottage is set in beautiful grounds and a lovely place to relax & unwind and a good base to explore the amazing Yorkshire countryside. Sitting eating breakfast looking over the garden & lake watching the moorhens & squirrels was heavenly, so peaceful & tranquil. We had a lovely week staying here and didn't really want to leave.

Beautiful setting but overall needs some updating . Having said that we enjoyed our walks in the wood around the lake. It wouldnt take much to make it fabulous.

Great for a quiet relaxing holiday. Beautiful location and well equipped cottage. The downside is it you wish to explore local towns, villages, attractions etc. Get up early to find somewhere to park!

A well equipped spacious and comfortable cottage. Fabulous and very peaceful setting with views of the lake and lawns from every window. Small patio outside kitchen door to enjoy a breakfast cuppa in the sunshine, with other seating available to sit and watch the rabbits and squirrels on the lawn. Apart from the walk in the woods on the estate, theRead morere are very few public footpaths outside of the estate. The local pub serves good food. There are lots of interesting places to visit.
