Explore everything the town has to offer, Whitby’s gothic streets are home to a great range of pubs, cafes, shops, and restaurants to visit, and the harbour and small sandy beach are nearby too. Wander along the pier and walk up to Whitby Abbey for amazing views of the coast, and set out for a longer walk along the Cleveland Way. Head into the North York Moors for hikes through the rugged countryside and go to Robin Hood’s Bay (5.5 miles) for a wander and fossil hunting on the beach.
