Hawsker and Low Hawsker Cottages
Our Hawsker cottages are set in a wonderful Yorkshire coast position. Hawsker is a village just a mile from the North Sea and three miles from Whitby and consists of two parts, Low and High Hawsker. Low Hawsker has something for history lovers with a rare Anglo-Saxon stone cross dating to the Tenth Century. The disused Scarborough to Whitby railway line passes through Hawsker and is a lovely treat for walkers, horse riders and cyclists to travel along the cinder track to Robin Hoods Bay, giving you the chance to enjoy the panoramic views of the coastline along the way. Bikes can be hired from the old railway station in Hawsker.
