Egton Bridge Cottages
Our Egton bridge cottages are located in this picturesque village set in woodland in the heart of the Esk Valley. It is situated a quarter of a mile south of Egton at the bottom of the valley, down a very steep road with an ancient stone flagged pack horse road alongside it. The village is divided in two by the track of the Middlesbrough to Whitby main rail line and the river. There are two inns in the village: the Postgate Inn and the Horseshoe Hotel. The annual Egton bridge Gooseberry Show is held here in the first Tuesday of August since 1800.
