This cosy Grade II listed cottage is situated in a small ginnell off Pier Road near the renowned Magpie Cafe and the pier. The cottage is in a busy and popular part of Whitby close to all amenities. It offers charming and characterful accommodation with lovely views from the upper floors. Dating from the 18th century, the cottage is reputed to have formed part of the Neptune Inn and was later a fisherman's store.
GROUND FLOOR:
Kitchen: Fridgewith freezer compartment, electric cooker, microwave with small dining table and chairs
Shower room: Electric shower, toilet and washbasin.
FIRST FLOOR:
Lounge: Electric flame effect fire, TV with, video, Freeview and DVD and radio.
SECOND FLOOR:
Bedroom1: Two single beds with hanging space. Excellent views across the harbour.
THIRD FLOOR:
Bedroom2: double bed and hanging space. Windows on three sides give wonderful views of the Abbey.
Pets: Two well-behaved dogs welcome.
Parking: No parking at the property, but on street parking on the West Cliff or in the Council carpark (weekly tickets available from the Tourist Information Centre)
Central Heating: Modern electric heaters
Short breaks: Short breaks not accepted. Only sat - sat bookings.

Whitby
Whitby is a popular choice for visitors all year round. It is well known for its long sandy beach and delicious seafood. For a different day out, why not climb the famous 199 steps to reach the ruins of Whitby Abbey. It's said to have been the inspiration for Bram Stokers Count Dracula, and its gothic splendour is the perfect place from which to take in some truly stunning views over the town.
Whitby harbour is steeped in history and visitors can see where British explorer Captain James Cook first worked as an apprentice before setting sail and discovering Australia. The harbour is a buzz of activity and you can enjoy early mornings watching the fishing boats come ashore before getting first choice of their catch. There's always something happening throughout the town , and festivals and fairs are held throughout the year including Whitby Goth Festival, Whitby Folk Week and the Whitby Regatta.
