The Yorkshire Dales are a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and are also one of the country’s professionally managed National Parks. It is a fabulous place to book a holiday cottage as there are lots of things to do within the area including walking, rambling, cycling, rock climbing and even caving. It has been the chosen location for many films and TV shows including ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ and most famously, ITV’s ‘Emmerdale’.
The Dales also play host to many record breakers including the fastest river and the highest lake in England.
